The brand Tuborg stands for the highest quality and has been for more than 125 years.

It has its origins in beer Pilsener Brauart in Denmark, while today it is available in over seventy countries in the world, including Germany.

The name Tuborg springs from the name of the first brewery in Hellerup, Copenhagen. The property was named after its previous owner "Thuesborg", in German "Thues Castle". From "Thuesborg" in common usage Tuborg became very fast.

The early success story of the bottom fermented light beer is crowned 1914 with the title "official court supplier of the Danish court" - since then the mark may carry the Danish crown and the sentence "By Appointment to the Royal Danish Court" on the label.
